Artistic Director Livia is an enthusiastic and creative teacher who holds a BA (HONS) Contemporary Arts (Dance) from the Manchester Metropolitan University and a Professional Diploma in Dance Studies from Laban, a conservatoire of Contemporary Dance in Greenwich. Following her graduation in 2004, she was appointed to the Education and Community department at Laban, where she was responsible for the short courses for children and adults. Here, she was inspired to build her own community dance company, Too Cool for Skool.

"All I ever wanted to do was dance. Inspired by my teacher Miss Elizabeth Roberts, I began Classical ballet and Tap dancing aged 3 years old and later expanded my skills to include Musical Theatre, Jazz and Street dance, culminating in Contemporary Dance.

My sessions encourage every participant to dance for the sake of dancing and to ensure we all find our inner rhythm, without feeling pressured by expectations to be the best for example, to jump the highest or have the
greatest degree of flexibility. We celebrate all our achievements with an informal presentation to our friends and family at the end of each term/course."
